How Dauber HQ Is Used

Effective Date: July 8, 2026  Last Updated: October 14, 2026

Here's the straight version of what Dauber HQ is, what it isn't, and where your job starts and ours stops. If you run bingo and you're trying to figure out whether Dauber HQ fits your night, this is the page for you.

What Dauber HQ is

Dauber HQ is a display tool for in-person bingo. It's the replacement for the flickery lit-up board, the sketchy random-number tab you found on page two of Google, and the photocopied grid taped to the wall. Instead you get a clean live board on whatever screen you've got — a TV, a projector, an old monitor from the closet — plus a version players can pull up on their phones with a QR code.

It's software you run. It doesn't host or operate your game for you. You call the night; we just put the numbers on the screen.

Built for in-person events

Dauber HQ is made for bingo where everyone's in the same room. You call the game from one screen, the numbers land on the big display, and anyone who'd rather not squint from the back can follow the exact same board on their phone.

That phone view is there for convenience — a better seat, basically — not a way to play from the couch across town. Dauber HQ isn't for online or remote bingo.

What Dauber HQ does

  • Shows every called number on the room screen and keeps all the views in step.
  • Puts that same board on players' phones over a QR code, so nobody's craning their neck.
  • Logs each call the second it happens — no more "wait, what was that number?"
  • Keeps your game history and hands you a timestamped call log to export whenever you want it.

What Dauber HQ doesn't do

  • Take bets, entry fees, or wagers.
  • Touch money, sell cards, or pay out prizes.
  • Decide who won or check a card.
  • Run anything online, remote, or over the internet.
  • Stand in for a required physical draw — or promise your event is compliant with your local rules.

We display the numbers. We don't take the money. That's the whole point — and it's a choice. Staying out of the cash keeps us clear of gambling regulation, which keeps Dauber HQ cheap and keeps your event yours.

About the auto-draw

There's an optional auto-draw that pulls the numbers for you electronically, so you don't have to spin a cage. It's built for the fun stuff — family game night, a party, a low-key community night where you just want to play.

It is not for paid or fundraising bingo. Many places require licensed bingo to use a physical draw like a ball cage, and some ban electronic number generators for those events outright. So if money's on the line, leave the auto-draw off: draw your numbers however your rules and regulations allow, and manually select them. You still get the synced board and and display in realtime on everyone's device — you're just the one pulling the numbers.

The first time you switch to auto-draw mode, we'll ask you to confirm you understand it's for entertainment and that you've checked what's allowed where you are. Change that language later and we'll ask again. We'd rather nag you now than watch it bite you later.

What the organization is responsible for

Run the event and it's yours — which means keeping it on the right side of the rules is yours too. Usually that covers:

  • Any license or permit your area requires for charitable or paid bingo.
  • The state, local, and organizational rules for your kind of event.
  • A lawful way to draw the numbers, including a physical draw where that's the rule.
  • Player cards and whatever else is physically on the tables.
  • Entry fees, prizes, payouts, and the bookkeeping around them.
  • Any reports your regulators want to see.

A note on our reporting tools

Our call log and export exist to make your recordkeeping less of a chore — a clean, timestamped list of every number you called. They're there to back up your filings, not replace them, and we can't promise they tick every box your jurisdiction has. Check yours.

This isn't legal advice

We build bingo software. We're not your lawyer. None of this is legal advice, and we can't sign off on whether your event is compliant — you know your rules, your license, and your room better than we ever will. If you're unsure, ask your regulator or a local attorney before the doors open.

Questions?

Not sure Dauber HQ's a fit for your night? Ask. We'd genuinely rather talk it through than have you guess — email us at [email protected].
